From time to time, I would see these go by the bus stop near our house. Of course they were in motion and followed by tons of cars, so I rarely got a very good photograph. I posted a photo of one over a year ago. But yesterday, they were waiting for a funeral to be over inside this church. It didn't feel disrespectful to take a couple of photographs of the carriage-- and I wasn't the only one, so I was not alone in my tastelessness if it were indeed tasteless. You can see the two coachmen (one of whom was a lady) standing in front of the horses. Only the coffin itself rides in the carriage; flowers and family ride in two large limousines that precede and immediately follow the carriage. I have seen a black carriage with black horses, but I think this one is very striking also.
